Sleightholm Folk Art now at Blue Heron Mercantile!

Thanks to a love for old timey things and kindred spirit magic, I've come to sell some of my art at a local shop, Blue Heron Antiques and Mercantile. When I was at their open house a few weeks ago I met some of the most intersting and 'kindred' spirit people that I was so relieved to find even 'way out here' in Oklahoma! I've loved this shop for years--- and it's a one of a kind oasis of early Americana out here on the prairie.
Carol and Missy, the mother/daughter duo who run the shop, are so lovely and so knowledgeable about Early American antiques. Carol, who's had this shop for over 35 years now, makes several trips 'back east' throughout the year to collect unique pieces of history that you can have in your home!

I had several pieces at their Open House last month (which was, amaaaazing!) and am bringing in more pieces as things sell. I've even got my yarns there so you can see it and squish it in person. I'm so thrilled to even have my things in the building, and if you're into 'old timey things' I know you'll love it too.
They have items such as salt glaze pottery, pie safes, tables and chairs, wool rug making supplies, hutches, tables, trunks, and all sorts of smaller objects that are so unique such as butter molds, cranberry harvesters and crockery.
You can find Blue Heron in Jenks, OK. which is on the south side of Tulsa. they're just off the Creek Turnpike on 111th street, on beautiful country acreage but still just minutes away from downtown Jenks shopping.
hey, maybe I'll even see you there! I'll be the one petting and cuddling the antique cupboards with stars in my eyes!~

I am happy to report that I'm adding new items to the shop all the time now--- including cards and originals. It is now "that time of year" for me.....that time when I lament, "why wasnt I painting Christmas art 6 months ago?" I always do that. When will I learn? Well, perhaps 2017 will be the year ;)

I now have the originals of "Holy, Holy, Holy" and "Country Santa" available to purchase in my etsy shop. And I ALSO have a new card set called "Country Christmas" with two new 2016 designs. I also still have plenty of cards with my most popular holiday designs on them as well!

One thing that I love about all these items is that they are 100% American, small business made! I, of course, painted the paintings :D and all my prints and cards are printed locally in Tulsa, OK. by another local family business.  If that is something that is important to you, I hope you'll consider using some of my art to celebrate the coming season :D

Thank you so much, and check back soon! I have a show coming up next week--- I'll be doing my first craft show in ages next friday! Come see me at the 10th anniversary Indie Emporium at the Bond Event Center in Tulsa, OK.

And most of all--- know that as Thanksgiving approaches, I am so thankful for you, your support and your interest. You guys keep me inspired and painting! I appreciate it so much!!

New Christmas Art

"Holy, Holy, Holy"

I've been busy! And I have three new paintings to show for it! Here are the latest Christmas pieces that are being offered in the shop (Holy, Holy Holy and Country Santa will have their originals listed in etsy this week! All three will have prints in the shop as well--- Country Santa and Home For Christmas are already available!)
"Country Santa"

"Home For Christmas"
These coming weeks are my busiest of the year and I'm doing my best to stay on top of stock and get things out as soon as I can! At the end of the month, I'll be a vendor at Indie Emporium in Tulsa, OK. I'm excited to get back into attending shows, the last Indie Emporium I did I was very very pregnant with Robbie and praying I wouldnt start labor in the middle of it, ha! Now he's a crazy almost-three-year-old and I'm ready to get back out there and show what new things I've been up to.

Please check back when you can for more updates! I'm so looking forward to celebrating this coming holiday season with you all!~
